I agree that value is not something we can change, because the Creator does not alter such a powerful reality. I also think that, in economics, value is often determined by what someone is willing to pay for something. In the greatest sense, God was willing to pay the ultimate price for the salvation and redemption of mankind through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ. What could be more valuable than that? The fact that God was willing to pay so fully to redeem humanity back to Himself and restore us to our original design, image, and likeness, is awe-inspiring.
What a powerful thought — regardless of what we have done. If we accept the blood of Christ, embrace His sacrifice, and give our lives to Him, redemption takes effect. Our value, however, never changes because of our actions. That payment was made 'while we were still sinners', and through it, our worth remains eternally secure.
