I agree deeply with your sentiments of our human brains being limited in the understanding of this and the beautiful hope we have because of Jesus. Trusting, fully that whatever God has prepared is perfect -better than we could imagine!
My husband was killed in an ATV accident 22 months ago and I have been walking our five kids through a lot of questions about heaven, recognition, hope in reunion etc. The Lord has laid clearly on my heart that my longing for heaven must rest completely in eternity with God. Whatever that looks like. If lead my kids in a longing for heaven because of our desire for reunion with our husband/dad, I might be leading them from a place that I actually can't promise. I do appreciate the emphasis in the past learning on bodily resurrection, and I do hope for recognition and reunion- however, I must cling first and only to meeting Jesus. Whatever that process is, whatever that looks like - I am in!
