Christus Victor Atonement Theory is so powerful, and I can just hear your excitement even as you share it. What a beautiful promise that we are overcomers — more than conquerors through Christ Jesus — and as you beautifully emphasized, it is His death but even more so His resurrection that positions us and seats us at the right hand of the Father, according to Ephesians 2:6-7:
“and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” (NKJV)
From that place — seated with Him in heavenly places — we rule with Him over the fallenness of this world. So powerful and so exciting to read and to see.
