  • Module 8: Leading Teams

The work of ministry is not done in isolation. Whether you are serving on a small church staff or leading volunteers in a large organization, your ability to lead, develop, and empower a team will determine your long-term effectiveness. This module brings together many of the leadership themes we’ve explored and applies them to real-life team dynamics. We will consider what makes teams thrive, how to navigate challenges, and how to foster a leadership culture that extends beyond one charismatic personality.

    Learning Outcomes

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

    • Identify the characteristics of healthy and dysfunctional ministry teams.
    • Evaluate your own leadership tendencies in team settings and identify growth opportunities.
    • Develop a practical plan for strengthening team dynamics in a real or hypothetical church context.
    • Reflect on how biblical models of teamwork inform effective team leadership today.
