  • Lesson 5: Conflict

Avoiding conflict is one of the most common mistakes we make as leaders. Thinking that conflict is always a bad thing is one of the most harmful beliefs for our team members. Of course, there are many ways that conflict can be unhealthy and can threaten to sabotage the goals of our shared mission. But understanding how this inevitable experience can be shaped to create buy-in and actually lift morale and deepen commitment is one of the best kept secrets about Organizational Leadership. When we understand the root of all conflict and when we define and welcome healthy conflict in our team, the rewards in healthy relationships and greater results make the risks worth it.
