Lesson 2 Practice

Take an opportunity to listen to a sermon. It could be a sermon at the church you attend, or you could find a sermon online. As you listen to the sermon, look for how it might address assumptions, attitudes, and actions. Also, look for what roles the preacher assumes during the sermon. Can you see the professor, the prophet, the pastor, or the poet? Remember, Rev. Ingersoll suggested these should be present over the long term, not necessarily all in one or every sermon.
