In the final lesson, you created the basic contours of a budget strategy for a rural church that is now larger than the facilities will hold at any one time. For the MicroBadge, create a more extensive plan for how you might lead the congregration into a building project that would add on additional space to your church. It should have the following components:
- A informal, relational strategy to achieve buy-in from the congregation for the project.
- A plan for how the church might do most if not all of the construction themselves (you can create imaginary church members with appropriate skills).
- Create an adaptive sequence for building that is not on a fixed timeline but that moves to the next step after the previous one is completed.
- Include financial targets that trigger the initial and subsequent steps in the sequence.
- Formulate these financial steps in terms of the three-part budget that Pastor McVey suggests in lesson 5.
