Leadership Styles

There is a good deal of research out there about varying leadership styles. A quick Google search asking, “What are the main leadership styles?” will generate any number of lists of different types. Put that same prompt into your favorite AI (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc) and you will also quickly get a list.

Do a little research of this sort. You may also have books in your library (e.g., Peter Northouse, Leadership: Theory and Practice). One of your textbooks, The Leadership Challenge, allows you to take a leadership practices inventory. Take the Leadership Inventory

Now make a post in the Leadership Styles Discussion Forum. For this assignment, you do not have to respond to the posts of your fellow students, although you are welcome to. It would be great for you to read them, though, so you can benefit from their research too.

Your post should be at least 300 words and should not only list but describe each style. Giving examples of each style that you have observed is also a plus. In your post, try not to reproduce a list that someone else has already posted, although you will not be graded negatively if you do. At some point, we may run out of differing lists. This post is worth 30 points.
